P.E.A.R® Represents at the 2026 GAR Inaugural & Legislative Conference

DeKalb REALTORS® members and Executive Board representatives proudly attended the 2026 Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR) Inaugural & Legislative Conference in Atlanta, joining colleagues from across the state for several days of leadership, learning, and advocacy.

Throughout the conference, attendees participated in legislative updates, policy discussions, and educational sessions focused on strengthening the real estate profession in Georgia. The event also provided valuable opportunities to connect with state leaders, industry partners, and fellow REALTORS® committed to advancing professionalism, protecting property rights, and serving communities with integrity.

By engaging in these important conversations and initiatives, DeKalb REALTORS® continues to demonstrate its commitment to staying informed, involved, and at the forefront of issues impacting our members and the clients they serve.

Dekalb Realtors/Perimeter East Association of Realtors members honored by Congressman Hank Johnson

On Saturday, Feb. 7th, Congressman Hank Johnson (GA-04) held his 7th Annual Unsung Heroes Awards program, honoring 16 residents for their positive contributions to Georgia’s Fourth Congressional District. During the program, three of our Association members were recognized.

Edward Patton was awarded the Pillar of Power award. This award goes to individuals who have served in a seat of government, faith-based institutions, or corporate entities. A person that has utilized their authority for the betterment of others.

Lawrence Sharp (not pictured) was awarded the Community Cornerstone award. This award goes to Individuals who have served the district for 5 years or more, making a direct positive contribution in the lives of constituents.

Congratulations to our members who go above and beyond to volunteer their time and energy in service to their community. You represent our Association well!
